DESCRIPTION DU COURS:

An introductory history of Christianity in the second millennium, which is marked by the expansion of the West, the outbreak of the Reformation, the re-globalization of Christianity and its encounter with new cultures through European colonization and the Western missionary movement. The course studies these developments through an analysis of key institutions, ideas, people, events, and movements, highlighting the mission of the Church in the world. The focus is on Protestant Christianity beginning with the Reformation, although Catholic and Eastern Christianity are also briefly studied.
